Jill L. Force
Jill Force, a CPA and attorney, has an extensive track record running the legal, financial and administrative aspects of a company. Most recently, as EVP, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of Lifecare Hospitals, she directed the company’s legal and PR response to the events of Hurricane Katrina (which destroyed three of the company’s hospitals) and negotiated and implemented a corporate compliance agreement with the OIG. As CFO of Rehab Designs of America, a venture-owned healthcare company, Jill reorganized and consolidated operating functions and restructured the balance sheet as part of a successful bankruptcy process.
For ten years, Jill was General Counsel of Vencor, Inc., where she created and built the legal, human resources, risk management, insurance and compliance functions while the company grew from $50 million to $3 billion in revenue. Jill was also actively involved in the capital raising process and in evaluating, performing due diligence, closing and integrating all acquisitions. Jill’s career began with six years performing audit and tax work for Coopers & Lybrand. She also practiced corporate law for four years, focusing on M&A transactions.
Jill has served on the Board of Directors of two publicly traded healthcare companies (Trover Solutions, Inc, and LabOne, Inc.) where she chaired the audit committee (designated financial expert for Sarbanes-Oxley), executive compensation committee and special committee reviewing strategic alternatives. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Asterand plc, a London Stock Exchange company that globally supplies human tissue and human tissue-based research services to pharmaceutical companies. She received an AB in political science from Miami University, an MSA from Georgetown University and a JD from the University of Louisville.
